Nagpur News : Lakadganj Police arrested one and booked two mobike borne youths for assaulting on duty constable under Lakadganj Police Station area on Sunday late night. According to information, Constable Rajesh Rambhagat Dekate (41) was on patrolling duty when he discovered three youths on a Hero Honda Karisma bike (MH 49 A 2262) in a very high speed.
Rajesh tried to stop them but the youths didn’t stop. Rajesh chased them. However, the youths dashed them near Mehandibagh Puliya,near Pratibha High School, Lalganj area. When the cops fell down, the youths started assaulting them.
Identified as Suraj Vijay Harode (22) and Kamlesh Gajanan Ninawe both accused are residents of Prem Nagar, Narayanpeth, while another accused Pankaj Moreshwar Halmare, is a resident of Khairipura, near old Lalganj Police Station. Passerby gathered and tried to nabbed the youngsters.
According to PSI Vipin Ingle, crowd caught hold of Suraj while other two escaped. Dekate sustained injuries and was taken to IGGMCH. On the complaint of Dekate, Lakadganj police registered an offence against the youths under Sections 353, 332, 34 and Sub Sections 184, 128/177 of the IPC. Further investigations are under way.
