A youth with the help of his friends planned to eliminate a youth over old rivalry, but the youth survived. Wadi police have booked the assailants while the injured has been shifted to hospital.
Police sources Ajit Satpute had a tiff with Jitendra Kourti. Ajit, who had not forgotten the quarrel decided to eliminate Jitendra. Thus, he along with his friends took Jitendra to Arya Bar on the pretext of consuming liquor. After Jitendra lost his senses with excessive liquor, Ajit attacked Jitendra with a hattimar knife and attacked him on head, chest and temple. Assuming that Jitendra had died, the assailants left the spot. The Manager of Arya Bar informed Wadi police who rushed to the spot. Jitendra was later shifted to Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
Cops have registered an offence under Sections 307, 34 read with sub sections 4+25 of the IPC and 135 of Motor Vehicle Act. Cops have launched a massive hunt for the youths.
