A 25-year old youth who had fired a bullet on his head himself on Thursday succumbed to the fatal injury on Friday while undergoing treatment at a private hospital. The youth was most probably being rehabilitated at a de-addiction centre and had fired the bullet from a pistol at the centre itself.
The deceased Saurabh Sureshchandra Sharma (25), resident of Plot No. 129A, Akar Nagar, Katol Road, was at Maitree Vyasan Mukti Kendra around 7.45 pm on Thursday. For reasons not ascertained as yet, Saurabh fired a bullet from a pistol on his head and was grievously injured. He was rushed to Wockhardt Hospital. However, Saurabh was declared dead at 00.50 hours of Friday while undergoing treatment.
On the basis of a complaint lodged by Gaurab Sureshchandra Sharma the Ambazari Senior PSI Deotale has registered a case of accidental death and probing the matter further.
