Nagpur:
A team of Ambazari policemen witnessed a high-voltage drama when they went to a house to arrest two absconding goons wanted in an arms case. A 20-year old boy not only facilitated escape of two goons but also enacted a drama to commit suicide if the cops ‘touched’ to two goons who were hiding in his house.

Ambazari police on Wednesday received a tip off that the two wanted goons named Sevak Masram and Bunty Masram, booked by Sitabuldi cops under Section 3/25 of Arms Act and Section 135 of Maharashtra Police Act, were hiding in the house of accused Satish Tarachand Channe (20), resident of Trust Layout, Pandhrabodi. Acting on the inputs, a team of Ambazari cops led by NPC Samir Shirajuddin Sheikh (43) reached the house of Satish Channe around 7.30 pm. The cops enquired about the two goons Sevak Masram and Bunty Masram. The accused Satish pretended to tell the whereabouts of the two wanted accused after talking with his mother.

However, instead of cooperating with the cops, Satish suddenly smashed glass panes of a nearby tea shop, lifted a sharp-edged glass piece and threatened the police team not to touch the wanted goons. Moreover, the accused Satish inflicted deep cuts on his person in an attempt to commit suicide and facilitated the escape of the two goons. The drama forced the Ambazari police team to return empty handed as the two wanted goons made their escape good amid the chaos.

Woman PSI N D Sheikh, on the basis of a complaint lodged by NPC Samir Shirajuddin Sheikh, has booked the accused Satish Channe under Sections 309, 353, 332, 506 of the IPC and probing the matter further.
