Nagpur: Umred Police arrested a youth for cutting a cake with a sword and making the picture viral on social media. The police raided the house of the youth and seized the sword.
The accused has been identified as Rahil Gajanan Mohnikar (19), a resident of Kawrapeth, Umred, district Nagpur. According to police, Mohnikar celebrated his birthday with friends on Saturday night. He used a sword to cut the cake and the video of the act was posted on social media. Police received a tip-off about the incident and launched an investigation into the matter. Acting on the information, the police raided Mohnikar and seized a sword from his house.
An offence under the provisions of IPC and Arms Act was registered against him. The arrest was made by PI Pramod Ghonge, and staff including Pradip Chawre, Radheshyam Kambale, Pankaj Batte, Govardhan Shahare, Umesh Bante, and Sushma Bhoyar.
