Young corporator Nilesh Kumbhare dies of pneumonia

Nagpur: A 31 year old corporator Nilesh Kumbhare, who contested and won the recently concluded Nagpur Municipal Corporation elections from ward no. 35, died after a brief illness in Hospital. He passed away at around 7.30 am on Monday. His family members were shocked as they found him lying unconscious as he did not wake up this morning. He was reportedly suffering from pneumonia which recurred. However he was also investigated for swine flu but could not be verified.

Known as one of the most active and cordial leaders among his friends and supporters, Kumbhare contested elections on the ticket of Republican Party of India with support from BJP. Kumbhare had contested with Avinash Thakre’s Prabhag.

Kumhare’s friend Dhiraj Raut told Nagpur Today that Nilesh was quite an optimistic person and had always thought of driving the positive change in his area.

He is survived by his father, mother and elder brother.

Meanwhile, there remained a pall of gloom over Sai Nagar area as the word of his death spread. Senior leaders have also mourned the death of one their able leaders.
