Nagpur: A tragic accident claimed the life of a young construction worker after he fell from the 11th floor of a building in the Sonegaon police station limits on Friday evening.
The incident occurred around 4 pm on January 30, 2026, at Anjani Exotica building in the MIHAN area of Sonegaon. The deceased has been identified as Lavkush Badri Nishad (20), a native of Devipur village in Etawah tehsil of Siddharth Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh. He was residing at the site and working as a construction mason.
According to police, Nishad had gone to the 11th floor of the building to operate a water tap valve when he reportedly lost his balance and fell from the height, suffering critical injuries. Co-workers immediately rushed him to AIIMS Hospital for treatment, but doctors declared him dead after examination.
Based on information provided by Manojkumar Mithailal Yadav (21), also a native of Uttar Pradesh and currently present at the site, Sonegaon police registered a case of accidental death. Woman PSI Sheetal Kapade has recorded the entry, and further investigation into the incident is underway.
