Nagpur: In a shocking incident, a young boy attacked his sister’s lover with sharp-edged weapon and tried to kill him on Thursday night. With serious stab injury in stomach, the victim is battling for life in a private hospital. The accused assailant has reportedly been arrested.
The complainant Puja Sahadeo Uike (22), resident of Adesh Society, Bharatwada in Kalamna area, told police that her brother Amol was in love with the sister of accused Biraj Meherdas Bichele (19) of the same area. This love affair had even resulted in a brawl between Amol and the accused Biraj a few days ago. However, on Thursday around 7.10 pm, when Amol and his friend Deepak Yerne were returning home, the accused Biraj accosted them and picked up a quarrel. Biraj suddenly attacked Amol with a sharp-edged weapon and inflicted deep stab injuries on his stomach and ribs with the intention to eliminate him. The profusely bleeding Amol was taken to nearby Radhakrushna Hospital where he reportedly battling for life.
Kalamna API T T Khandate, on Puja’s complaint, booked the accused Biraj Bichele under Section 307 and reportedly arrested him.
