Yet another boy meets watery grave in Hingna lake

Nagpur: In yet another incident of watery grave within a span of 24 hours, a 21-year old boy lost his life while swimming in Salai Mendha lake in Hingna area on Wednesday. Body of the deceased Veushabh Arun Selodkar, a resident of Subhedar Layout, could be fished out only on Thursday morning. Vrushabh, along with 8-10 friends, had gone to Salai Mendha to celebrate birthday party of their common friend Shubham Sunil Bhapkar. During the birthday bash, Vrushabh and 3-4 other went for swimming in the Salai Mendha lake. After sometime, all of them came out of the water but Vrushabh was no where to be seen. The panicky friends alerted the Hingna police. A team of cops reached the spot and mounted a search for Vrushabh’s body assuming he could have drowned. But since it was getting dark, the cops could not trace the body. The next morning (Thursday) around 11, cops succeeded in finding Vrushabh’s body and sent it to GMCH for autopsy.

Hingna police have registered a case of accidental death and launched a detailed probe into the matter.
Four youths had drowned in Rama Dam, a few kilometers away from city, while celebrating birthday party of a friend.
