Yashwantrao Chavan paid tributes on birth anniversary

The birth anniversary of Maharashtra’s first Chief Minister Yashwantrao Chavan was celebrated by office of Divisional Commissioner, Collectorate and Nagpur Municipal Corporation.  The day is also observed as ‘Samata Din.’

The Divisional Commissioner Anoop Kumar garlanded the portrait of Yashwanrao Chavan and paid his tributes. “Yashwantrao Chavan was an architect of modern Maharashtra State and had a pivotal contribution in shaping the State to what it stands today as progressive State,” said Anoop Kumar on the occasion.

Deputy Commissioner Appasaheb Dhulaj, Joint Commissioner Raj Laxmi Shaha, Regional Enquiry Officer Ravindra Savalkar and other officials were present.

In Collectorate, Yashwantrao Chavan was paid rich tributes on his birth anniversary. Deputy Collector Girish Joshi garlanded the portrait of Chavan and remembered his contribution in developing the State as a modern State. Resident Deputy Collector Ravindra Kumbhare and other officials were also present,

Deputy Mayor Munna Pokulwar too paid tributes to Yashwantrao Chavan on behalf of Nagpur City by garlanding his statue at Ajni Square.
