Nagpur: Neeti Clinics a premier institution for Ear Nose Throat and Cancer Diseases conducted awareness programme on the occasion of World Head and Neck Cancer Day.
On Tuesday July 26, 2016. eve of Head and Neck Cancer Day, awareness programme was conducted for paramedical staff of Neeti Gaurav Complex.
At the outset, Dr. Madan Kapre, Director Neeti Clinics explained the concept of World Head & Neck Cancer Day. Dr. Neeti Kapre Gupta highlighted the severity of this deadly disease with the help of statistics. Dr. Abhishek Vaidya outlined the activities of Voice of Tobacco Victims.
A questionnaire designed by Dr. Neeti was distributed to the paramedical staff to test their awareness about Head and Neck Cancers and to remove any myths and misconceptions. Winners were awarded prizes at the hands of Dr. R. Ravi, renowned pathologist, Secretary of Vidarbha Society of Head and Neck Oncology and Chief Guest for the function.
The programme was anchored by Dr. Gauri Kapre Vaidya and Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. Vidula Kapre. Entire staff of Neeti Clinics worked hard for the success of the programme.
On World Head and Neck Cancer Day, Wednesday July 27, 2016. the same programme is open all day for general public. There is poster exhibition to depict misconceptions about Head and Neck Cancer, warning signs of the disease and measures to be taken. Informative pamphlets with catchy slogans will be distributed to the public to warn them against the harmful effects of tobacco consumption.
