Woman’s gold chain worth Rs 40,000/- snatched in Ajni area

Nagpur: On September 28, 2015, the complainant Ratnamala Gajanan Maudekar aged 58 years and resident of Plot No 1, Sootmarket, Gandhibagh was returning along with her husband on their two-wheeler MH-31/DR-8461. When they neared the office of Dainik Yelgar on the road between Tukdoji Putla Square and Krida Square, two unidentified persons in the age group of around 25-30 years approached the complainant on a two-wheeler from behind and snatched the Mangalsutra (Gold ornament) worth Rs 40,000/- (Rs Forty Thousand) and fled the spot.

On the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim Ratnamala Gajanan Maudekar, Police Sub Inspector Ghuge of Ajni Police Station registered a case under sections 392 and 34 of Indian Penal Code against unidentified goons and is investigating further.
