Nagpur: A young woman was robbed of gold ornaments worth Rs 84,000 while shopping at busy Sitabuldi Main Road on Sunday.
A resident of Mominpura, Kabrastan Road, Fayza Jabi Ansari (22) along with her sister had gone to Sitabuldi Main Road for shopping on Sunday. Fayza had kept her gold jewellery worth Rs 84,000 in her purse. Near Bombay Shop, Fayza was purchasing an item from roadside vendor around 3 pm, an unidentified miscreant slyly opened her purse taking advantage of heavy rush of shoppers and removed the gold ornaments. The theft came to notice of Fayza when she reached home and searched her purse for the gold booty.
Sitabuldi police constable Prakash has booked the unidentified burglar under Section 379 of the IPC and searching for him or her.
