Nagpur: In an audacious act, a man abused, molested and thrashed a woman right in front of her office in full public view in the posh Civil Lines area on Tuesday afternoon. The accused man has been booked.
On Tuesday (May 31) around 2.45 pm, the accused Prashant Ishwar Kale (30), resident of Plot No. 2, Shikshan Society, Gorewada, went to the office of the victimized woman (32) in Civil Lines. Prashant called the woman outside her office and as soon as she came out, he started hurling filthy abuses.
Later, the accused Prashant caught hold of the woman’s hand and thrashed her severely in full public view. The shell-shocked woman anyhow managed to save herself from the marauding accused, most probably with the help of onlookers, and then lodged a complaint with Sitabuldi police in this regard. However, the exact reason behind the awful actions of accused could not be ascertained.
Sitabuldi API Chopde, based on the complaint, has booked the accused under Sections 354, 294, 506(B), 323 of IPC and launched an in-depth probe into the matter.
