A woman poured kerosene and attempted self immolation after she was ditched by an Ayurvedic doctor who lured the woman into fake marriage promise and later circulating her obscene MMS. The woman breathed her last early Monday morning after which the doctor has been booked by Jaripatka police.
According to information, the deceased was suffering from some illness due to which she approached the accused Dr Kuntal Jambhulkar at his Ayurvedic clinic at Satyam Apartment, Panchasheel Square. However, the two got involved romantically and later established physical relation.
The woman conceived after which doctor promised her to tie the nuptial knot with her. He convinced the woman to abort the child. However, the doctor turned back on his words and refused to marry the woman. Further, the doctor made a clip of their intimate scenes and circulated the obscene MMS. The woman could bear the humiliation and poured kerosene on self on Sunday afternoon. She had already sustained major burn injuries when she was rushed to Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment. After fighting for hours, the woman breathed her last early Monday morning.
Jaripatka police have registered an offence under Section 306 of the IPC against the doctor and have started their investigations.
