Woman, her relatives take possession of Alankar Talkies forcibly with forged lease agreement

Nagpur: In a curious incident, a woman, her three cousin brothers and 5-6 other persons stormed Alankar Talkies and took possession of the theatre forcibly by forging a lease agreement. The wee hour drama was enacted on January 12. 2018 but the matter came to fore recently. All the accused have been booked.

The accused have been identified as Priyanka Maheskar, her three cousin brothers Baba Madan Patil, Kapil Madan Patil, Mrudal Madan Patil and 5-6 other unidentified persons.

Around 0230 hours of January 12, the accused forcibly entered Alankar Talkies situated on North Ambazari Road, Dharampeth, and took possession of the theatre for running it on lease basis. The accused also forged an agreement to this effect. At the time of incident, the complainant Nikhil Ashokrao Lad (40), resident of Satyam Height, Hudkeshwar Road, and probably the Manager of the talkies was present. He was threatened by the accused of dire consequences.

Sitabuldi PSI Vithole, based on complaint of Nikhil Lad, booked all the accused under Sections 448, 143, 149, 506 of the IPC and started investigations into the case.
