Woman grabs dead man’s Rs 1.50 cr property by becoming ‘fake wife’

Nagpur: In a well-planned conspiracy, a woman prepared forged marriage papers depicting herself wife of a dead man and later grabbed cash, valuables and other property to the tune of Rs 1.50 crore with the help of other fake documents. The accused trickster woman has been booked.

According to details, the complainant Lomesh Devdas Ramteke (35), resident of J K Complex, Dattanagar, Nagpur, told police that the accused Vijaymala Fulchand Gajbhiye, resident of Plot No. 52, Gorle Layout, Second Bus Stop, Pratap Nagar, forged documents showing that she had married with his father Devdas Ramteke at Anand Boudha Vihar in Panchpaoli area.

Lokesh further told police that his late father had not divorced. The accused Vijaymala later submitted the bogus documents (including forged death certificate of Devdas) in various Government offices and grabbed a plot of land, shop, Tata Siarra vehicle, cash and jewelleries collectively valued at Rs 1.50 crore.

Panchpaoli API Keche, based on the complaint of Lomesh Ramteke, has booked the accused Vijaymala Fulchand Gajbhiye under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 34 of IPC. Further investigations are underway.
