strong>Nagpur: Even as the metro rail project is progressing at fast pace in Nagpur, there has been a racket fleecing unemployed people in the name of providing job in Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Limited. In a similar such case Umred police have booked a man for duping an elderly woman to the tune of Rs 3.50 lakh on the pretext of providing a job to her son in NMRCL.

According to Nagpur (Rural) Police, Prabha Bhaiyyaji Bawne (54), a resident of Girad Road, Umred, lodged a complaint that Bhojraj Vinayak Dhoke (29) told her that he had contacts with top officials of Nagpur Metrol Rail Corporation and promised a job to her son.

He took Rs 3.50 lakh from Prabha Bawne last year for appointing her son in the Metro Rail Corporation. However, Bhojraj neither provided any job to Prabha’s son nor returned her the money.

Umrer Police launched a search for Bhojraj after registering an offence under Sections 420 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code against him.
