Nagpur : While domestic violence have been an ever existing case in Indian society, women now are getting vocal about odds at their in-law’s place. In a testimony to this fact, a woman stood up against her husband who tried to force himself upon her.
Sadar police have arrested the man for allegedly trying to outrage the modesty of his own wife, on Wednesday.
Police said, the 29-year-old victim was wife of the accused. On Wednesday, the victim was present in her house at around 10 pm. The accused Yogesh Motiram Bante, aged 45, barged into the house and started abusing her. He manhandled his wife and later tried to establish physical intimacy without her consent. The victim managed to escape from his clutches and approached Sadar police.
Police have taken cognizance of the situation and immediately registered an offence under Sections 376 (b), 352, 323, 504, and 511 of the IPC. The accused was later taken into police custody. Further investigations are in progress.
