Nagpur: With the construction of a new office for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in the nation’s capital, Delhi, questions are being raised about whether RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat will relocate from the Nagpur headquarters to Delhi.

The construction of the new RSS headquarters in Delhi is nearing completion, and the process to obtain final approvals is underway. Once all the necessary No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from various departments are received, the office will become operational. Located in the Jhandewalan area, the new headquarters, named ‘Keshav Kunj,’ spans approximately 2.5 acres. This office is more modern and larger than the existing one in Nagpur, sparking debates about whether Nagpur will remain the main base for the RSS or if the headquarters will shift to Delhi.

Recently, Bhagwat attended an RSS meeting in Palakkad, Kerala, where he urged members to reduce dependence on the government. He also emphasized that the RSS should not be viewed merely as a stepping stone to joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Modern Facilities at the New RSS Headquarters

According to sources, the new Delhi office will include a 20-bed hospital, equipped with facilities ranging from labs to basic medical testing services. A dedicated yoga space has been set up to ensure RSS officials can practice yoga comfortably. Additionally, the office will have a department for RSS uniforms.

Spacious and Secure: A New Era for RSS Headquarters

The new RSS headquarters in Jhandewalan comprises three towers, with the main tower featuring four elevators. An X-ray machine has been installed at the entrance for added security. The headquarters will include convention halls, offices, and residential facilities. Security for the new office will be handled by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

Despite the move to Delhi, key officials like RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale and Joint General Secretary Arun Kumar are expected to continue operating from the Nagpur office. Notably, the new Delhi headquarters will also house offices for various organizations associated with the RSS, including “Organizer” and “Panchjanya.” A separate tower has been constructed for guest accommodations.

The developments around the new office signal a significant shift in the RSS’s infrastructure, though the question of whether Nagpur will remain the organization’s primary headquarters continues to linger.
