Wheels of two cars, 2 two-wheelers stolen in different areas

Nagpur: In disturbing incidents, miscreants stole four wheels of two cars and also two two-wheelers in different localities. No arrests have been made so far in the cases.

According to police, one of the car owners, Ashok Khatagade, resident of Vasudha Apartment, Survey Nagar, lodged a complaint with Pratapnagar Police Station stating that his car (MH-31/SL 2879) was parked in the apartment premises. In the intervening bight of February 17 and 18, two wheels of the car were stolen. The value of the stolen stuff is Rs 12,000. In the second incident, Telecom Nagar-based Ashok Shamkule told police that two rear wheels of his car (MH-31-EU 1086) were stolen by some unidentified burglar. Ashok too was put to loss to the tune of Rs 12,000. Police surmise the role of same miscreants in stealing the stuff. A search has been mounted to nab the offenders.

Similarly, a Koradi resident Sheikh Mohd Haroon Shabbir Ahmed registered a case with police stating that his Pleasure scooter (MH-4/W 1726) was stolen from Gangabai Ghat area. The vehicle was lifted despite being handle locked. The worth of the stolen vehicle is stated to be Rs 25,000. Another two-wheeler (MH-31/BY 1840) belonging to Kailash Dagde of Rajabaxa was stolen from near his residence situated in front of Hanuman Temple. The lock of the vehicle was broken and then lifted.

Cops have booked the unidentified accused in all the theft cases and investigating the matter further.
