Around 10.30 pm on Wednesday, the three masked men made a futile attempt to loot Vaishnavi Petrol Pump of Hindustan Petroleum, situated near Fire Station in Narendra Nagar and one of them stabbed the petrol pump employee, Nitin Ramesh Chichghare (30), on his neck. The knife-wielding masked men also tried to scare a customer.
According to Senior Police Inspector of Ajni Police Station Shailesh Sankhe, the three masked men walked into the Vaishnavi Petrol Pump and one of them stabbed Nitin Chichghare on his neck with a sharp-edged weapon at 10.30 pm. Chichghare raised an alarm and fled the spot. After seeing the sharp-weapon, other employees, too, ran away from the petrol pump with cash.
