Wardha road entry into Nagpur to be diverted via Hingna after India-England T20 match

Nagpur: Every time there is an international one day match at the VCA stadium at Jamtha commuters have reported traffic jams on the Wardha road that take hours to normalize.

To avoid this problem after the Ind-Eng match this time,to be held on 29th Jan, Nagpur police have decided to go in for a new experiment. Entry to Nagpur on that day will be only from Hingna road via outer Ring road.

This information was given at a press conference held by DCP Ranjan Kumar Sharma yesterday.

“Vehicle movement from Jamtha to Nagpur via Chinchbhuvan would not be allowed after the match to avoid traffic congestion.

Police have prepared a traffic plan rearranging the exit points from Jamtha stadium. VVIP trffic would be allowed to pass through Jamtha village towards outer ring road that joins Hingna road.

Other spectators, will use exit rute from Ashtvinayak Apartments road towards Wardha road and then to outer ring road towards Hingna.
