Nagpur: An elderly man from Wardha cheated three persons including a woman in a land deal. The accused sold his two plots to three different persons in a fraudulent manner. The accused defrauder has been booked.
The accused Vitthal Mahadeo Dhakate (65), native of Plot No. 32, Vikramsheel Ward No. 1, Wardha, owned two plots admeasuring 2150 sq ft in Mauza Kalamna. The elderly con man, with nefarious designs in his mind, negotiated a deal to sell his two plots to Vinod Krushnarao Parate (37) of Kalamna at the cost of Rs 6.98 lakh on 4.1.2013. However, the accused fraudster, earlier had sold the same two plots to Tarachand Namdeo Dadure and Deepa Jayanta Hukani between the period from 7.8.2008 to 4.1.2013. With these dubious deals, the accused duped the three persons to the tune of lakhs of rupees.
Kalamna PSI Raut, on the basis of a complaint lodged by Vinod Krushnarao Parate, has booked the accused Vitthal Mahadeo Dhakate under Section 420 of IPC and investigating the matter further.
