: Vishwa Bangla Anter-Rashtriya Parisad, Nagpur is organizing an one-day World Bengali Conference on June 24, 2016 at Vasantrao Deshpande Hall, Civil Lines Nagpur from 9:00 am onwards. Director of Rabindra Sangeet Gaveshna Kendra at Tagore’s Shanti Niketan Dr. Indrani Mukherjee will be the Chief Guest.

Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh, Salahuddin Noman Choudhury is also likely to attend. Former IAS Officer from Maharashtra Utpal Mukherjee who has also served in World Bank and Satyabati Giri will be the Guest of Honor.

In addition Former President of IMA and Former Chairman of Co-operative Hospital Nagpur, Former President Nikhil Banga Sahitya Sammelan Nagpur unit Dr Ajay Kumar Mukherjee has agreed to grace the inaugural function. The event will be sponsored by Ashalata Debi from Dr. Sushil Chandra Mukherjee Memorial Trust. Many eminent personalities from across the world are likely to participate in this programme.

Bannerjee and Thulsidas Balaraman, Saikat Mitra, son of legendary singer shyamal Mitra, Indian council for cultural Relation Artists-Maya Chakraborty and Sarojini
(she will sing Rabindra Sangeet in Nepalese) Mounita Mukherjee of Akash Bangla, Sakher Theater from Mumbai will stage Rabindranath Tagores Choker Bali, and will be headed by Madhuchanda Mukhopadhyay and Sumita Ghosh.

World Renowned Esraj player from Visva Bharti, Amber Bagchi, from BARC, Tapas Maiti from Tata Steal, Aindrila Roy Choudhury from TIFR, Dr. Dola Roy Choudhury, Dentist, Poulami Chakraborty Free Lance Editor etc. will perform in Chokherbali Nagpur historically posses huge talented artists which has potential to mesmerize global audience. The Nagpur team will therefore consists of Cultural Secretary Pinaki Banerjee, great exponent of Dance-Drama Shyamali Bagchi, Mahua Bhowmic, Madhumita Chakraborty, Guitarist Ashish Sawoo, will perform is Nari Shakti.

Marathi Novelist Mrunalini Kelkar who has translated 28 Bengali Novels will take part in sahitya sabha along with Indrani Mukherjee, Satyabati Giri and Manisha Bannerjee. This is an effort to bring the novelist of Maharashtra and Bengal nearer so that the free flow of literature exchange takes place for the benefit of Indian cultural tradition. One of the objectives is to showcase the existence of Bengali and Bengali Language lovers in today’s world. Movement of people from all over the World has created tremendous affinity to know different culture. That is helping fusion amongst different cultural tradition. This event will be for all who love to know the best in Bengali culture and is must see for them. Further the event will provide a single platform for all professionals/experts from all fields and is not limited to art and music.
