Nagpur: Nagpur witnessed a powerful demonstration as citizens, including prominent politicians, environmentalists, journalists, and social media influencers, took to the streets on August 11 to protest against the city’s poorly constructed cement roads and substandard development projects. The protest, organized by the Green Club of Nagpur, began at Variety Square and marched to Samvidhan Chowk, with participants chanting slogans and holding banners to express their frustration with the city’s deteriorating infrastructure.
The citizens’ demands for better planning, quality construction, and accountability from local authorities resonated throughout the city. Protestors highlighted the risks posed by the faulty cement roads, which they argued are not only inconvenient but also endanger public safety.
