Video: As NMC fails to contain ‘Stray Dog Menace’ Nagpur man forced to take matter in own hands

Nagpur: Barely a week after a four-year-old girl, who was bitten by a pack of stray dogs at village Bharkas near Butibori earlier this month had died during treatment at Government Medical College & Hospital (GMC&H) on January 20, the issue of stray dog menace surfaced once again, and this time within limit of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC).

In a video circulated on social media, an angry man can be seen heading towards his moped carrying a cricket bat. This is right before one could hear chaos triggered by a stray dog. Irked over the incident, while man along with another male from his family try to follow the dog. However, some local raise objections to this. This is when man narrated his ordeal that constant attack by the stray dogs on his family members thanks to blatant apathy of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) had compelled him to take this step.

Notably, the stray dog menace has been in the news from quite some time. The death of four-year-old is the recent victim of this deadly menace. While both local bodies and District Administration acting as a mute spectators.
