Nagpur:
The likely expansion and reshuffle of Fadnavis Ministry slated on Friday (July 8) could witness Vidarbha standing tall. Two more men from the region are likely to find place in the Cabinet. And the names that are ahead in the race could be BJP’s senior leader Pandurang Fundkar, Madan Yerawar or Dr Sanjay Kuthe. It is learnt that Fundkar and Yerawar were called by party high command to Mumbai Thursday itself thus making the possibility a certainty that they may be included in the ministry.

Pandurang Fundkar alias Bhausaheb Fundkar is senior leader of BJP and has represented Khamgaon constituency in Buldana district as MLA as well as MLC. He was a member of 9th Lok Sabha, 10th Lok Sabha and 11th Lok Sabha from Akola Lok Sabha constituency. He was also former President of State BJP. Fundkar was elected as member of Vidhan Sabha from in 1978 and 1980. He was also Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council (Vidhan Parishad). Currently he is an MLC. People as well as political parties in the region were taken aback when he was not made minister in the Fadnavis Government. But this time he is going to make it, possibly.

Apart from Fundkar, the Yavatmal MLA Madan Yerawar could also find a place in the State Cabinet. Yerawar is known to be hard worker of the party and an active Legislator. Another name that is making rounds is Dr Sanjay Kuthe.

The Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on last Sunday had a meeting with top RSS brass and must have discussed the expansion of his ministry. Fadnavis has got green signal from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Party President Amit Shah when he met them in Delhi recently.
