Nagpur:
On the penultimate day of the Winter Assembly, when Minister Girish Mahajan tabled details of irrigation projects for Vidarbha, leader of opposition and Congress leader Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil commented that since the session was being held in Nagpur it was apt to talk about Vidarbha. All pending projects for Vidarbha should be discussed and C.M. and his senior cabinet ministers should also be present.

“In fact” Vikhe Patil went on to ask ” Fadnavis’ govt should make their stand on separate Vidarbha clear. BJP politicians who had gone on ‘indefinite fast’ on this issue are now elected members and silent on this issue in the House!”

To this Bonde, B.J.P. MLA from Morshi responded that if the opposition was so concerned about Vidarbha they should move a motion for Vidarbha statehood and govt. would respond.

“But where are your Ministers, even those originating from Vidarbha for this discussion?” Questioned Patil.

Education Minister Vinod Tawde, objected to Opposition’s interruptions when Assembly was functioning as per business advisory, on which the opposition benches got angry and staged a walk out.
