One of Devendra Fadnavis’ initial assurances, just after getting elected C.M. was cheaper power for MIHAN.

Speaking in the House on the penultimate day of the Winter Assembly, Power Minister and Guardian Minister of Nagpur, Chandrashekhar Bawankule declared that the state government was actively considering reducing power tariffs in Vidarbha and Marathwada.

Speaking exclusively to Nagpur Today just now Bawankule confirmed this.

“We are going to reduce the rates. But exactly when and by how much you will have to wait. We will definitely do it by March” he said.

He also disclosed that the committee that was set up to opine on this has submitted its report to Power Ministry officials already. But what its recommendations are cannot be disclosed now.

Can we expect a considerable reduction? Or similar rates as MIHAN for other industries placed in Hingna, Butibori etc. ? NT asked.

“Nothing decided yet. ” Replied the Minister.

We have to wait for two months and hope for the best till then!
