On Sunday, Nagpur recorded a maximum temperature of 40.6°C, which is 2.1°C above normal. Other districts reported slightly lower but still high readings-Buldhana at 38.0°C, Gondia at 39.4°C, and Yavatmal at 39.8°C. The minimum temperature in Nagpur stood at 21.2°C.
Despite occasional cloud cover offering brief respite during afternoons, the heat continues to trouble people across the region.
However, there is some relief ahead. According to the weather department, temperatures across Vidarbha-including Nagpur-are expected to drop by 3 to 5°C over the next four days. Additionally, minimum temperatures may fall by 2 to 3°C after the next three days, bringing some much-needed relief from the ongoing heatwave.
