The installation of 2016-18 term team of office –bearers of Vidarbha Chest Association (VCA) will be held at 9 AM on Sunday, 07 August at Radisson Blu Hotel, Wardha Road. The executive body is headed by Prof Dr B O Tayade, Head of the Department, Respiratory Medicine at NKPSIMS & LMH, Hingna Nagpur and Dr Rajesh Swarnakar, Sr Consultant Pulmonologist & Director of Getwell Hospital & Research Institute, Dhantoli, Nagpur will be installed ceremoniously as Secretary of the association. Dr Dileep Mahaiseka, Vice Chancellor of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences who himself is a Chest Physician will be the Chief Guest of the function. Hon Dr Ashish Deshmukh, MLA, Katol and Prof Dr Kajal Mitra, Dean of NKPSIMS & LMH will be Guest of Honor.
The body includes Prof Dr Radha Munje as Vice President & Dr Sumer Chaudhary as treasurer while Dr Vivek Gupta and Dr Nainesh Patel are Joint Secretaries. The Executive Committee members are Dr Ajay Gandhi, Dr Aniket Bhadke, Dr Akash Balki, Dr Vineet Niranjane, Dr Gyanshankar Mishra, Dr Aditya Parihar, Dr Gautam Mohril, Dr Vikrant Deshmukh, Dr Anil Sontakke & Dr Ashish Nikhare.

In the scientific session ‘Presidential Oration’ will be delivered by Prof B O Tayade on ‘Programmatic Management of Drug Resistant Tuberculosis ’ This will be followed by a CME on ‘ Pulmonary Rehabilitation’ in which Dr Alpa Dalal, Head of the Department, Pulmonology , Jupiter Hospital, Thane will speak on ‘Introduction & Overview of Pulm Rehab’ & ‘ Tips for managing Dysnoea’. Dr Ankita Asher, a cardiorespiratory physiotherapist will speak on ‘Exercise Training in Pulm Rehab’ & ‘ How to set up a Pulm Rehab Unit’. Dr Nikita Jalan a Pulmonary Rehabilitationalist from Chest Research Foundation, Pune will speak on ‘Home based Pulm Rehab Program’. Dr Meenakshi Ghadge will be coordinating Installation Program & CME. Outgoing President Dr Ashok Arbat and outgoing Secretary Dr Rajesh Ballal have appealed all interested to grace the function and attend the event in large numbers.
