Victory for Yashwant Sinha as Devendra Fadnavis accepts all demands, withdraws protest

Akola: In the latest development, veteran BJP leader Yashwant Sinha, who launched an indefinite protest in Akola police ground to press the farmer’s demand charter, has withdrawn his agitation Wednesday evening.

As reported earlier after speaking with Sinha, Wednesday evening, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis accepted all the demands of farmers.

Sinha was detained by the Maharashtra police and subsequently released after a few hours, but he refused to leave. The farmers’ demands include that the farm loan waiver should reach farmers, fair prices to farmers’ crops, buying the farm produces by the central government agency NAFED, etc.
