Pachpaoli police have arrested a vehicle lifter and recovered a stolen motorcycle from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Rakesh Ratnakar Gaekwad (35), resident of Siddharth Nagar, Teka. According to police, the complainant Milind Sukhdeo Komalkar (48) stays at Komalkar Complex, Kamal Chowk and is an employee of Nagpur Municipal Corporation. On Sunday (December 7), Komalkar parked his Yamaha RX Motorcycle (MH-31/AK 5409) near the complex. However, the next day (December 8) when Komalkar got readied to leave for office he found his motorcycle missing. After searching at many places, Komalkar could not trace his motorcycle and thus lodged a complaint with Pachpaoli Police Station in this connection. After receiving the complaint Pachpaoli cops swung into action and following a sustained probe and clues, zeroed in on the accused Rakesh Ratnakar Gaekwad on December 9. The stolen motorcycle was recovered from accused Rakesh’s possession and he was put under arrest.
