In a unique yet bizarre bid to stand crystal clean and clear on various issues and also to get rid of all the fuss marring Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), acting Vice Chancellor, Anoop Kumar has reportedly warned all his subordinates against passing any information to the outsiders, particularly the men from media. Besides, a series of other restrictions have also been imposed which raised the eyebrows of many officials. A circular in this regard has been sent to all the departments.

The university council members have objected to this move. It is expected that this issue will be raised in the Management Council meeting on August 19.

Sources said just few days back some of the senior university officials were pulled up for leaking information to the media. It was alleged that the information which got published put the university’s functioning in bad light.

Since taking over as acting VC four months back, Anoop Kumar has been working upon improving the image of the university. However the quantum of news getting published in the newspapers on the university’s mishappening has become headache for the VC.

Sources said VC came to know that all the news published in the media were buzzed through university officials themselves. In order to curb this practice, all the departments have been warned to share any information. The university officials also told to report on time for duty.
The buck does not stop here. It is also learnt that even former employees of examination section or university council members will not be allowed in the Pariksha Bhavan Premises , unless they have work.

Questions are being raised why this circular for university only, and it is not being implemented in divisional office , which too comes under Anoop Kumar
