Nagpur: Taking serious note of alarming spread of Dengue disease in the State, the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday directed the concerned authorities to utilize social media for creating mass awareness on the menace apart from other measures. Fadnavis was reviewing the Dengue situation in Maharashtra at a meeting held in Mantralaya.
The Chief Minister asked the authorities to include some celebrities in the mass dengue awareness campaign so that the message gets the added attention.
The Chief Minister said that the completion of activation of electronic mechanism like CCTV in Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Aurangabad and other cities is very important for security point of view and the police department should make all out efforts in this direction. Fadnavis was reviewing the installation of CCTV mechanism across the state at a meeting held in Mantralaya on Friday.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Swadhin Kshatriya, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Amitabh Rajan, Principal Secretary, Information Technology Department Rajesh Agrawal, Home Department (Special) Secretary Vinit Agrawal, DGP Sanjiv Dayal, Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria, Director General (Housing) Javed Ahmed, Additional DGP Paramvir Singh, Additional DGP (Training) Venkateswaran, Commissioner (Secret Information) Rashmi Shukla and other senior officials.
