“I remember Mayawati had extended support to BJP earlier also and that too during Ram Temple agitation,” Uma Bharti claimed. She further claimed over 50 MLAs of BSP and more than 60 MLAs of SP were in touch with BJP.

Nagpur News: The firebrand BJP leader Uma Bharti on Friday dropped a bombshell when she claimed over 50 MLAs of BSP and more than 60 MLAs of SP were in touch with BJP and Mayawati will support Modi Government at an appropriate time. “The BSP Supremo Mayawati’s statement that she extends support at proper time can be construed that she will also support BJP when the time comes. I remember Mayawati had extended support to BJP earlier also and that too during Ram Temple agitation,” Uma Bharti claimed.

Uma Bharti arrived in Nagpur to meet RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Her meeting with Bhagwat follows Dr M M Joshi’s visit to Nagpur recently. However, Uma Bharti refused to divulge details of her visit to Nagpur and the meeting with Bhagwat. But the visit of Uma Bharti has fuelled different talks among political circles.

It may be recalled, Modi, during an interview with a TV channel had hinted that BJP might seek support of either Mamata Banerjee or Mayawati after the elections. However, Mayawati has ruled out possibility of supporting Modi Government.

Commenting on Sharad Pawar, Uma Bharti said, “Pawar is a sweet pill that mixes with any water. Therefore, talking about him further would not be prudent at this moment. But Pawar will stand behind any Government. That is for sure.”
