Fadnavis inaugurates newly constructed building of Koradi Police Station.

The Chief Minister, speaking on the occasion, said that a staggering provision will be made in this year’s Budget for providing state-of-the-art facilities to police across the State. Police are succeeding in increasing the percentage of conviction rate. The conviction rate has reached to 42 percent. If police make more concerted efforts, the proportion of convictions can be reached to 100 percent, said Fadnavis.
“The policing should be done outstandingly with the use of latest technologies. Arrangements should be made in such a way that people should feel it easier to file FIRs anywhere and anytime. Police efforts should be to smash crime totally. Government is behind you,” assured the Chief Minister.
Fadnavis further said that for creating the sense that police is friend of society is necessary for harmony among cross section of society. For this positive attitude and qualitative change in policing is necessary. Government is striving hard to provide residential houses to police personnel. If fact, efforts are being to provide police with their own houses. Government is committed to extend various concessions and facilities for this endevour, asserted the Chief Minister.

The introductory speech was delivered by DCP Sanjay Latkar. Other officials and digbitaries present at the function include DCPs Deepali Masirkar, Bharat Tangde, Executive Engineer J H Bhanuse, MSEDCL Chief Engineer Umakant Nikhare, contractor Ranagri, Mahadula Nagar Panchayat President Kanchan Juthe, BJP Rural President Dr Rajiv Potdar. The vote of thanks was proposed by Koradi PI Prakash Londhe.
The new building of the police station has been constructed on Mahagenco land at a cost of Rs 1.52 crore and is located at Panjra-Koradi on Nagpur Road. Earlier, the Police Station was located inside Koradi power station.
