Nagpur: In a major crackdown under Operation Shakti, the Social Security Branch (SSB) of the Crime Branch raided LOOK BOOK By INARA Unisex Salon in Dharampeth and rescued two women allegedly forced into the flesh trade. The raid took place on Tuesday, August 12, at the salon located in Mangalam Apartment, Khare Town, under Sitabuldi Police Station limits.
Police have arrested Deepa Anand Godde (35), a resident of Valmiki Nagar, near Kalimata Mandir, Gokulpeth. According to investigators, Godde allegedly lured the women with promises of high pay, provided the salon premises, and coerced them into prostitution for her own financial gain.
During the operation, police seized ₹40,030 from the spot, as recorded in the seizure panchnama. A case has been registered under Section 143(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Sections 3, 4, 5, and 7 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.
The raid was carried out under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal, Joint Commissioner of Police Navin Chandra Reddy, Additional CP (Crime) Vasant Pardeshi, DCP (Crime) Rahul Makanikar, and ACP (Crime) Abhijeet Patil.
The operational team included PI Rahul Shire, API Shivaji Nanavare, ASI Shesrao Raut, constables Ashwin Mange, Sameer Shaikh, Kunal Masram, Kunal Bodkhe, Nitin Vasne, and driver Poonam Shende.
