Two Tuli families clash over shop property in Tuli International Hotel, 6 members booked

Nagpur: A dispute over shop property in the high-profile Tuli International Hotel in the city triggered group clashes involving two reputed families and police booking six members over complaint-counter complaint of bloody assaults in this connection. The bizarre incident occurred on Tuesday and subsequently brought ugly face of the dispute to the fore.

According to police, a dispute is raging on between Bachittersingh Tuli, resident of Jaripatka, and accused Gurulalsingh Tuli, Ravindrapalsingh Tuli, Ajinderpalsingh Tuli, all residents of Clarke Town, Jaripatka over a ground floor shop in Tuli International Hotel. On Tuesday (October 7) at about 12.45 pm, despite dispute, Bachittersingh Tuli undertook work in the said shop for starting his office. This activity of Bachittersingh Tuli obviously did not go down well with the accused and they confronted Princepalsingh (33), son of Bachittersingh Tuli, and a hot exchange of words ensued. However, the wordy duel took the worse turn when the accused Gurulalsingh Tuli, Ravindrapalsingh Tuli, Ajinderpalsingh Tuli pushed Princepalsingh to the ground and showered blows on his feet with bricks injuring him seriously. The accused then whipped out a knife and threatened Princepalsingh to kill him. Taken aback by the development, the bruised and battered Princepalsingh lodged a complaint with Sadar Police Station against accused.

Sadar PSI Shirke, acting on the complaint, booked the accused trio Gurulalsingh Tuli, Ravindrapalsingh Tuli, Ajinderpalsingh Tuli under Sections 336, 506(B), 504, 34 of the IPC and started a probe into the matter.

Meanwhile, on the same day, lodging a counter complaint, Gurulalsingh KapoorsinghTuli (78) told police that Princepalsingh Tuli, Bachittersingh Tuli and Prabhjitsingh Tuli, in the run up to the dispute over shop property, indulged in quarrelling with him and assaulted after pushing him on the ground deliberately and causing severe injuries when he asked them to stop work at the disputed shop. The accused also abused, attacked and threatened to kill his sons.

Acting on the complaint, PSI Shirke registered an offence against Princepalsingh Tuli, Bachittersingh Tuli and Prabhjitsingh Tuli under Sections 337, 506(B), 323, 504, 34 of the IPC and probing the matter further.
