Nagpur: Two young newly married women reportedly committed suicide in their houses in separate incidents. However, the reason behind the extreme steps taken by the young women could not be ascertained yet.
In the first incident, Kajal Chandrakant Sihariya (21), resident of Plot No. 130, Naik Nagar, Ajni, ended her life by hanging to a ceiling fan with the help of a scarf in her house at about 12.30 pm on Sunday. Cops from Ajni Police Station reached the spot on being informed about the suicide incident. After completing preliminary probe, the cops sent body of Kajal to GMCH for post-mortem.
API Shejul, acting on information of her husband Chandrakant Revjilal Sihariya (28), has registered a case of accidental death and investigating the matter from all angles.
In the second incident, Pragati Sandeep Thakre (22), resident of 29/A, Laxminarayan Nagar, Vanadongri, MIDC, committed suicide by hanging to a ceiling fan with the help of a scarf in her house around 2.45 pm on Sunday. The hanging body of Pragati was noticed by her husband Sandeep Nathhu Thakre who immediately informed MIDC police. A team of police, led by Senior PSI Ramteke, reached the Thakre residence and conducted preliminary investigation. Body of Pragati was sent to GMCH for post-mortem.
The Senior PSI Ramteke has registered a case of accidental death and launched a thorough probe into the matter.
