Two minors stab man to death over money dispute in Imamwada, Nagpur

Nagpur: In a shocking incident, a 34-year-old man was brutally murdered by two 16-year-old boys near Bara Signal in Borkar Nagar under the jurisdiction of Imamwada Police Station late on Wednesday night.

According to police, the deceased has been identified as Nilesh alias Bala Kiran Ambadare (34), a resident of Indira Nagar, Jat Tarodi, Galli No. 2, Imamwada, Nagpur. The incident occurred around 10.30 pm on October 15, 2025, when Nilesh reportedly had a heated argument with the minors over a money-related issue.

In a fit of rage, the duo attacked Nilesh with the intention of killing him. They first threw chilli powder into his eyes, then stabbed him multiple times in the stomach and other parts of the body, and later smashed his face with a stone, leaving him grievously injured.

Locals rushed Nilesh to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared him brought dead.

Following a complaint lodged by Minakshi Raju Kohale (37), a resident of the same locality, the Imamwada Police registered a case under Sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against both juveniles.

Taking the seriousness of the crime into account, police launched a swift operation and managed to trace and detain both minor offenders, who are now under custody.

Further investigation is underway.
