Nagpur: Two minor girls, including a 6-year old, were raped in Kalamna and Jaripatka areas here on different occasions. A 43-year old man and 23-year old boy have been booked in this connections.

A 40-year old woman, resident of Kalamna, in her complaint told police that the accused Vijay Marotrao Ravalekar (43) of the same area raped her 6-year old niece around 9 pm on Wednesday. When the heinous act came to light, a complaint was lodged with Kalamna police against the accused.

API Pawar has booked the lewd accused Vijay Marotrao Ravalekar under Section 376 of IPC read with Section 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and probing the matter further.

In another incident, the 23-year old accused Akash Devanand Tenpe of Kabir Nagar raped the 14-year old girl, resident of Jaripatka, at a marriage ceremony. The girl, along with mother, had gone to attend a wedding on Thursday night. Around 11.30 pm, the accused Akash Tenpe, on the pretext of fetching water, took the girl to a dilapitated house and raped her.

Jaripatka API S V Raut, on the basis of a complaint lodged by the girl’s mother, registered a case against the accused Akash under Section 376 of IPC read with Sections 4, 8 of Protectiomn of Children from Sexual Offences Act and launched a probe into the matter.
