Two men upload vulgar messages on Bawankule’s Facebook defaming him, his family

Nagpur: Koradi police on Monday have booked two men on the charges of uploading vulgar messages on Facebook defaming the Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule and his family.

The two accused have been identified as Sarang Ramteke (30) of Kuhi and Chhatrapal Karadbhajne (34), resident of Bhugaon in Kamptee Tehsil. Both Sarang and Chhatrapal have been booked under Sections 354, 500, 504, 506 of the IPC read with Sub-Section 67 of the Information and Technology Act 2000. It could not verified whether both the accused were arrested or being searched by cops.

In a statement to media, Bawankule said the accused uploaded obscene messages on his Facebook account and circulated them targeting him and his family. “The obnoxious, indecent messages have caused mental stress to me and my family. The accused have tried to malign my political as well as standing. Thousands of my followers and supporters follow my Facebook. With the distasteful messages, the accused tried to malign my and family’s image. I have filed FIR against the accused and Koradi police are investigating the matter,” the Guardian Minister stated.
