Nagpur: In an audacious act, two men reportedly molested a teenaged girl in front of her hostel in Tilak Nagar and also thrashed her friend who tried to intervene into the matter on Sunday night.
Ambazari police have booked accused Akshay Sarve and Anshul Landge under section 354 (A), 324, 323, 504, 34 of Indian Penal Code.
Police sources said a 19-year-old complainant was having a conversation with her male friend near her hostel in Tilak Nagar.
At around 8.30 pm, the accused duo intercepted their conversation and started misbehaving with the female complainant. They reportedly misbehaved with her trying to grab her hand without her consent. However when her male friend tried to intervene into the matter the accused duo first accosted him and later thrashed him in full public view.
Following the complaint of the girl, Ambazari police have booked the accused duo and started the probe.
