Two goons demand extortion money of Rs 1 lakh from 2 businessmen with life threat

Nagpur: Kalamna police have booked two young men on the charges of demanding extortion money from two businessmen and threatening to kill them if their demand is not met.

The two accused, Alok Jain (29), resident of Badkas Square, Mahal, Nagpur, and Abhishek Mandhana (26), frequently phoned the businessmen Rahul Vinod Katakwar (26) and his friend Rakesh Pandey between April 13 and April 17 and demanded extortion money of Rs 1 lakh from them if they have to carry out their business in the market. The two accused also threatened to kill Rahul Katakwar, resident of Netaji Market, Kalamna and Rakesh Pandey if their demand of Rs 1 lakh is spurned by them. Scared by the threatening calls, Rahul and Rakesh approached Kalamna Police Station and registered a case in this connection.

API Thakre booked the two accused Alok Jain and Abhishek Mandhana under Sections 385, 504, 506, 34 of IPC and searching for them.
