Nagpur: Two friends of MLA Khopde’s sons surrendered in front of the crime branch in the case of attempt to murder of owner of Cloud-7 Bar and Restaurant Sawan alias Sunny Bamrotwar registered against them.
The accused who surrendered in front of Crime Branch include Atul Lodhe and Swapnil Deshmukh. Just before their surrender, the cops of Ambazhari Police Station had arrested Mohsin Khedikar and presented in the court. The court had granted Police Custodial Remand till November 25, 2016. Mohsin Khedikar is said to be an engineer by profession. He is also said to run a Consultancy Agency.
Mohsin Khedikar is said to be a close friend of MLA Khopde’s sons. The name of both the sons of MLA Krishna Khopde, Abhilash and Rohit Khopde has come to fore in the case of attempt to murder the owner of Cloud-7 Sawan Bambotkar.
Some very highly placed and high ranking officials are being contacted and talks are on to prevent the arrest of both the sons of MLA Krishna Khopde, Abhilash and Rohit Khopde. On Wednesday, the November 23, 2016, when Mohsin Khedekar was presented in the court, MLA Krishna Khopde and many senior leaders of BJP were seen in the court premises.
The cops of Ambazhari Police Station have arrested the owner of Cloud-7 Bar and restaurant Sawan alias Sunny Bambrotwar, his father and five others in the case. Those arrested include Sunny’s father Pramod Bambrotwar (52), Sunny’s brother Shobit Bambrotwar (18), Sunny’s friend Vivek Balekar (19), Kapil Arkhel (20) and Parag Bhogaokar (20).
The cops of Ambazhari Police Station are investigating further.
