Two flats struck again in Pratap Nagar, booty worth Rs 2.41 lakh stolen

Nagpur: Burglars, on the second day trot, struck at two flats in quick succession and decamped with cash and valuables valued at Rs 2.41 lakh. This is second incident of burglary in flats in Pratap Nagar area in two days. The morning hour house-breaking has rattled the residents and cops as well.

The goons first targeted the flat of Lalita Khushman Trivedi (35) of Panna Apartment, First Floor, Shastri Layout, Subhash Nagar. Lalita locked her flat around 12 noon and went to a bank. The burglars in waiting broke open the latch of main door of her flat and removed a cash of Rs 30,000 and gold-silver ornaments kept in an almirah. Lalita was relieved of booty worth Rs 2.13 lakh. Similarly, the desperadoes targeted a flat in neighbouring Kohinoor Apartment. The victim, Abhay Narayan Pande of Flat No 106, was robbed of cash Rs 8000 and valuables collectively valued at Rs 28,000.

Pratap Nagar API Munde has registered offences against the unidentified thieves under Sections 454, 380 and searching for them.
