Nagpur: Two unidentified criminals tricked and robbed an elderly man of his Rs 18,00,000 in cash on Thursday night. Cops have launched a hunt to arrest the tricksters.

According to police, the victim Jamirulla Khan Khalil Khan (65), resident of Plot No. 36, Teacher Colony, Jafer Nagar, Nagpur was going to his brother-in-law Kazi Anauddin Kazi Salauddin’s house in Khadan area, behind Sevasadan Building on Thursday. Jamirulla Khan Khalil Khan was carrying with him Rs 18,00,000 for purchasing a house and the cash was kept in the dicky of his Scooty (MH-31/BN 759). When Jamirulla was in the vicinity of Sevasadan Building around 6.45 pm, the two unidentified tricksters, in the age group of 40-45 years, approached him and diverted his attention with glib-talking. The two goons slyly removed the bag containing Rs 18,00,000 from the dicky of the Scooty and vanished from the scene. Sensing something amiss, Jamirulla checked the dicky only to find the huge cash missing. He raised an alarm but it was too late.
