: Trivendra Singh Rawat, a former RSS pracharak, sworn-in as the chief minister of Uttarakhand after the Bharathiya Janata Party swept back to power after five years with a landslide majority.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah, UNion ministers Rajnath Singh, Uma Bharti and several Union ministers and party leaders were present for the ceremony.

Outgoing CM Harish Rawat was also present at the ceremony. His predecessors Vijay Bahuguna, Bhagat Singh Koshyari and BC Khanduriji were also attended the event.

Satpal Maharaj, who was in the race for CM’s post, took the oath as Uttarakhand cabinet minister.

Rawat’s cabinet team include Prakash Pant, Harak Singh Rawat, Madan Kaushik.
